Update on our next Technique Night Closed! Due to the overwhelming under-response for August 23rd’s workshop, I have rescheduled it to September 13th at 7:00 PM. Currently, this class is full  leftfor that evening. We will be learning the beautiful &mysterious Eclipse Technique.We will make a technique card with instructions and an example for each, in standard format that can be added to a scrapbook or notebook, then 2 cards using the techniques.Fee $20 includes a 6x8” scrapbook page protector that will fit into one of our customizable scrapbooks. I hope you will join us for a fun evening!

Rosh Hashanah Blog Hop

Welcome to my blog and the Jewish Demonstrators Rosh Hashanah Blog Hop.I hope you have had a chance to visit the other participants’ blogs as well.

My card this year is celebrates the hope of the autumn harvest of sweet apples and wishes you the traditional greeting of a “Sweet New Year.”  The Jewish New Year always falls sometime during early Autumn, usually mid-September or early, early October, variable dates, as we follow a lunar calendar.  This year it falls on September 10th.  It is a solemn holiday of prayers for thanks, renewal, hope and peace followed 10 days later by our Fast of Atonement or Yom Kippur, where we pray for forgiveness for the wrongs we have done individually and collectively as part humanity.  Most of the traditional foods we eat include the sweetness of apples, honey & spices like cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg & ginger.  We also traditionally dip apple slices into honey and wishing each other that “Sweet New Year.”
