* Cancellation policy in place - Because of the time and expense of preparation for these workshops

Because of the time and expense incurred in preparing materials for each person participating in my events, it is necessary that I have a cancellation policy:
*Stamp Camp/Class/Workshop Cancellation Policy – If you cancel your reservation at least 48 hours in advance of the event there will be no cost to you.  If you cancel within that 48 hours, I will try and place someone from the waiting list and if that works there will be no charge to you; otherwise you will be responsible for the class fee.  (If a stamp camp - you will receive the material packet with pictures (by email) to make your projects.)  Not all stamping will be done for you, so you may need to adjust the project slightly using what stamps you have available.  Or you can choose to purchase the purchase requirement for the event in merchandise from Lois to meet your commitment.
If no purchase requirement is listed for the specific event (such as Card Classes), you must purchase 2.5 times the cost of the class/stamp camp/event in merchandise, or simply pay the fee for the event, to meet your commitment.
If event is cancelled by me – I will notify you and a full refund will be given of any
pre-payment you may have made.
All events must be half-full to avoid possible cancellation.
Thank you ~ Lois Friedman – LuLu’s Crafty Stamping.

Rosh Hashanah Blog Hop

Welcome to my blog and the Jewish Demonstrators Rosh Hashanah Blog Hop.  I hope you have had a chance to visit the other participants’ blogs as well.

My card this year is celebrates the hope of the autumn harvest of sweet apples and wishes you the traditional greeting of a “Sweet New Year.”  The Jewish New Year always falls sometime during early Autumn, usually mid-September or early, early October, variable dates, as we follow a lunar calendar.  This year it falls on September 10th.  It is a solemn holiday of prayers for thanks, renewal, hope and peace followed 10 days later by our Fast of Atonement or Yom Kippur, where we pray for forgiveness for the wrongs we have done individually and collectively as part humanity.  Most of the traditional foods we eat include the sweetness of apples, honey & spices like cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg & ginger.  We also traditionally dip apple slices into honey and wishing each other that “Sweet New Year.”

I used the watercolor style of the apple in Stampin’ Up’s set "Picked For You" and the "Nature's Poem" Designer Series Paper (DSP).  The apple is done is shades of Calypso Coral & Powder Pink and the background is Blackberry Bliss. I printed the sentiment in the font “Beautiful Holiday” in Blackberry Bliss colored ink on clear label material and attached it to a piece of white cardstock.
