Hanukkah Blog Hop

Image
I’m really excited to be participating in my very 1st Blog hop!  It’s all new to me so I hope I don’t mess up the sequence or the protocol.

Since, Stampin' Up hasn't really produced a Hanukkah themed stamp set for several years, I had to use a retired set.  You can sometimes buy them on sites like Ebay.
These are gift tags, one each night!  They each measure 3" x 3" and are attached to the gift by the cord.  I have to say creating these was a challenge.  I had to mask off the candles on this menorah stamp that weren't being used. I then stamped each card with Versamark and embossed them with Silver Embossing Powder. After embossing, I colored each candle using a blender pen and repeated the color sequence on each card.

Thank you so much for viewing my blog and I hope you will visit the other blogs of demonstrators who are participating.

November's Paper Pumpkin kit.
Snow Much FUN in such a cute little box! I always get so excited when my Paper Pumpkin kit comes every month. I know it's going to be really cute, appropriate for the season & lots of fun.  I can pack the box into my suitcase or carry on bag and work on it in the airport or on the plane if I'm traveling like I am right now.  It usually doesn't need scissors and everything I need is in the box (your 1st kit comes with an acrylic block to mount the clear photopolymer stamps on. You want it? You can get it right <<<<HERE>>>> month to month, quarter to quarter or year to year or send me a message to lfriedmancrafty@gmail.com and I will set it up for you.

Family Time!

Image
This weekend, I'm attending a big family event.  My cousin's triplets are 13 and it's what we call a B'nai Mitzvah. In a Bar Mitzvah, the boy of 13 is called to read from the Torah Scroll. If it is a girl, the ceremony is called a Bat Mitzvah. If there are more than one children participating in the ceremony, the term is called a B'nai Mitzvah. It's a tradition for the whole family to gather together this rite of passage into religious adulthood.  There's usually a big party and family gatherings all weekend long.  Along with the work of preparation for the religious service come a shower of gifts, money to add to the funds of a future education.  So, Ian, Isabella & Dean, a toast to your future successes!
