Happy Holidays, Everyone!

Image
This is my favorite Holiday Card this year!
It's the Paper Pumpkin set from November 2016 and I added a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" Whisper White card backing  to make the basic card size bigger than what was sent in the kit. I also did a little touch of Wink Of Stella glitter pen on the "snow" and on some of the rooftops. I really love love the way it reminds me of the cold winter nights that go along with the Holiday Season.

Hanukkah Blog Hop

Image
I’m really excited to be participating in my very 1st Blog hop!  It’s all new to me so I hope I don’t mess up the sequence or the protocol.

Since, Stampin' Up hasn't really produced a Hanukkah themed stamp set for several years, I had to use a retired set.  You can sometimes buy them on sites like Ebay.
These are gift tags, one each night!  They each measure 3" x 3" and are attached to the gift by the cord.  I have to say creating these was a challenge.  I had to mask off the candles on this menorah stamp that weren't being used. I then stamped each card with Versamark and embossed them with Silver Embossing Powder. After embossing, I colored each candle using a blender pen and repeated the color sequence on each card.

Thank you so much for viewing my blog and I hope you will visit the other blogs of demonstrators who are participating.

November's Paper Pumpkin kit.
Snow Much FUN in such a cute little box! I always get so excited when my Paper Pumpkin kit comes every month. I know it's going to be really cute, appropriate for the season & lots of fun.  I can pack the box into my suitcase or carry on bag and work on it in the airport or on the plane if I'm traveling like I am right now.  It usually doesn't need scissors and everything I need is in the box (your 1st kit comes with an acrylic block to mount the clear photopolymer stamps on. You want it? You can get it right <<<<HERE>>>> month to month, quarter to quarter or year to year or send me a message to lfriedmancrafty@gmail.com and I will set it up for you.

Family Time!

Image
This weekend, I'm attending a big family event.  My cousin's triplets are 13 and it's what we call a B'nai Mitzvah. In a Bar Mitzvah, the boy of 13 is called to read from the Torah Scroll. If it is a girl, the ceremony is called a Bat Mitzvah. If there are more than one children participating in the ceremony, the term is called a B'nai Mitzvah. It's a tradition for the whole family to gather together this rite of passage into religious adulthood.  There's usually a big party and family gatherings all weekend long.  Along with the work of preparation for the religious service come a shower of gifts, money to add to the funds of a future education.  So, Ian, Isabella & Dean, a toast to your future successes!

You’ve seen many versions of this card on my blog and on my Pinterest boards.  This card is so much fun to build!  The basic pattern can be adapted to any number of occasions.
This particular configuration can be made to fit into Stampin’ Up’s 5 ¾ x 4 3/8” Envelopes. We will be making just 1 card, because of the steps involved.  I will provide a kit to each participant with materials (card stock, Designer Paper, Embellishments, etc), a list of supplies and tools and some instructions to create the box again on your own. All materials & tools needed to make cards will be provided, using Stampin’ Up! Products and Accessories. You must RSVP to lfriedmancrafty@gmail.com and a $10 payment to my PayPal account to hold your spot. Please see the cancellation policy page for my cancellation policies. Please no children. Double Z

Image
This time I am showing a popular new card fold format, the Double Z.  The fold presents a type of pop-up with some embellishments.

Pop of Paradise is definitely one of my favorite stamp sets this year from Stampin’ Up! I’m really enjoying the very cool ideas I can create and it’s especially appropriate for the ladies in my family.  Along with using the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits as embellishments.  Here again is Pop Of Paradise with Pop Of Pink Designer Series Paper.

Here is a cute one using a collar fold on the front and the Double Z format.  I used the balloons in the middle to add a festive look!

Another example is this card I made for my husband’s birthday. I used a set that was given as a free set during our Sale-A-Bration last February called the Sky’s the Limit.I used a smaller width for the pop-up Z
Thank you for stopping by to visit.  Stop by again soon!
